Feasting On You
Feast in the House of Simon, 1610, El Greco |
Feasting upon your eyes
Savoring warm
Strong
Flesh
Strong
Flesh
I hunger for your smile
Laughter...
Words
Words
Your vitality meshing
Within mine
On a bed of hot coals
On a bed of hot coals

ReplyDeleteInventive and sharp, nicely done.
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
Delete"Feasting upon your eyes." This line implies so many things. Being fed by the views of another--by the way they sense the world (if we are feeling positive). And the dark side, that reminds me of "we'll eat you up" from Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are.
ReplyDeleteI love the way your mind works!

I love that you got all of that from one line!! One of the best things about writing is hearing others thoughts on how my words make them feel! Thank you!!
