Collecting
Treasures
As we meander through nature
My three boys
Collecting
Miniature treasures
In which I place within
My pocket
Dana

Thoughts, feelings, words burn within my soul and yearn to spill forth from my fingertips in the form of poetry...
They are treasures... I agree!
ReplyDeleteAt that age... the world is so full of wonder!!
DeleteAh those miniature treasures kids collect. I like the photo too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peggy! I have a special jar I put all the treasures in that they give to me!
DeleteI like those miniature treasures in the pockets ~ Good one ~
ReplyDeleteMe too! Thanks Grace!
DeleteDana, I love this. I had three boys in three years ... we were best buds, had all sorts of treasure hunting adventures when they were young. Today they are 50, 51 and 52! Where does time go?
ReplyDeleteI don't know where it goes Helen, but I sure wish I could find out and snatch some of it back!! Thanks!
DeleteVery nice and sensitive poem, Dana. What precious times. You are lucky that the treasures can be held in a pocket rather than a wagon or something. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThey don't always fit in my pockets! Sometimes I have to limit the size of the treasures we bring home or I would need a wagon! Thanks Mary!
DeleteAwww this is very charming =). My 5 year old daughter loves chestnuts her pockets are full of them!
ReplyDeleteKids are so full of wonder... it allows me to see the world in a different manner!
DeleteCollecting treasures is what life is all about. I loved this, has a lot of hidden meanings.
ReplyDeleteIt's collecting memories... great moments that we have spent together!! Thanks you!
DeleteTreasures, yes --- both the collection and the memories! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile! Made me think of walks along the beach with my 3 boys collecting all kinds of things for our pockets!
ReplyDeleteIt's one of my favorite things to do with them! As a child... I would often just wander off alone looking for treasures. I wanted to be an archaeologist badly and would dream of finding awesome treasures never seen before!
