Soul Gazing

Positioned beneath a
Moonless sky
An absence of stars
Weighs heavy
On my mind
For each is a reminder
That life is
Amazingly
Beautiful
And each stills
A worried
Heart

DeleteThe stars bring a sense of peace in creation and in our souls. The lights in the darkness. Sometimes though we find it hard to see them but if we keep looking for them they appear and are always there even when we fail to see them for a while.
ReplyDeleteThat was a beautiful comment! Thank you for your wisdom and presence!!
Delete...This is really beautiful...in all its brevity & sense... Smiles...

DeleteWhat a gorgeous image, that the countless stars would each still a worried heart. I can never see them the same after this.

You took an opposite tack, and had us look at a starless night. Contemplative, really. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteLovely, a full seeping into the heart
ReplyDeleteYour poem reminds me of how we realize we care about something when it's no longer there.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful thoughts in words of how darkness can dampen our spirits.
ReplyDeleteI too hope the moon and stars are shining for you soon.
