Game Changer

Seething
Breathing
Massive thoughts
Shaking
Breaking
Down my brain
My eyes glisten
With knowing
But it's ignored
At
This
Moment
I
Now
See
You are more
Than you've ever been
And there is no going back
Hateful
Spiteful
Spitting venom
Saying
Playing
Blame games
Your eyes sparkle
With knowing
And it's meaningless

this feels like a painting where you need time to stand a bit and look deeper to catch all the emotions and thinner lines that the painter included..some hidden for the eyes and only can be felt
ReplyDeleteThanks... I didn't want it to be so broad, but I couldn't help myself. The words do what they want!
Deleteso many layers of emotion on your canvas, the hinge point for me being you are more than you have ever been...more than what? it is not really defined which allows us to enter our own though as we move forward and backward in this...i like...smiles.
ReplyDeleteYes, those lines are the heart of the poem. They are what inspired the rest!
DeleteTightly written and full of emotion. I like it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mama Zen for your wonderful comment and for stopping by. I sure do cherish everyone's words.
DeleteDana, you have definitely 'painted ' difficult and intense feelings well with your words!
ReplyDeleteThank you!I'm glad you stopped by to read.
DeleteThe last stanza here really brings the poem into focus--biting, and bitter but also some resolution. The staccato line structure works really well.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!I appreciate the kind words and you stopping by to check it out.
